Healthy Dhokla diamonds with Veggies, Pomegranate seeds
Healthy Dhokla : Soak 1 cup rice, 1/2 cup chana dal, 1/3 moong dal, 1/3 cup urad dal - overnight. Blend in a blender with some water and 1/3 cup yogurt. Keep in a warm place to ferment [Turn the oven light on and Keep it in the oven overnight]. I added some salt and finely grated - pumpkin, acorn squash, carrots, Rutabaga and green peas, edamame [Its a wonder veggie]. The secret Kid apealing ingredient in - is sugar. I poured the batter (1cm thick) in lightly oiled pot and steamed in the pressure cooker[took off the whistle]. [It can be done in a big pot with 1 inch of boiling water and batter poured in another small pot/cake pan and covered with lid.]
Cut into diamonds. with Pomegranate seeds.
usually Dhokla is made from Besan (garbanzo/chickpea flour). This Dhokla has urad dal and yogurt for fermentation.
